I've spent 15 years advising founders and engineering teams on AI strategy, system architecture, and technical execution. In that time I've consulted for, or held advisory and board positions at, over 50 companies across enterprise and deep tech.
My background is unusual: I trained as a doctor before completing a PhD in AI and machine learning and an MBA. That combination — clinical rigour, technical depth, and commercial awareness — is what I bring to every engagement.
I have founded or co-founded startups globally across health-tech, ed-tech, and AI infrastructure. My research spans computer vision, applied AI, and LLM memory architectures, and has been published in journals including Nature Scientific Data.
I authored Beyond Lean, a book on building startups in regulated and deep tech industries — a framework called the Evidence Based Venture Pathway, developed from 15 years of watching what actually works when the stakes are high.

Raceway
Lead Maintainer
Open-source distributed systems debugging platform written in Rust. Detects subtle thread concurrency issues through vector clock analysis. Built for engineers who need to reason about correctness in concurrent systems.
Westfield
Architect
Re-engineered and modernised Westfield's e-commerce data pipeline to facilitate integration into third-party platforms without compromising compliance or security. Large-scale distributed systems work under real-world constraints.
